We skipped the light fandango

As the ceiling flew away
마치 천정이 날아갈 듯
When we called out for another drink
우리가 술을 더 시키자
But the waiter brought a tray
웨이터가 쟁반을 가지고 왔어
And so it was later as the miller told his tale
그리고 얼마 후 물방아간 주인이 이야기를 늘어 놓자
That her face at first just ghostly turned a whiter shade of pale
처음 유령을 만나듯 그녀의 얼굴에 더욱 창백한 그림자가 드리워�어
She said there is no reason
그녀는 아무 일도 아니라고 하면서
And the truth is plain to see
진실은 뻔히 알 수 있지 않냐고 했지
But I wander through my playing cards
카드 개임을 하면서 난 궁금해 했어
And would not let it be one of the sixteen vestal virgins

Who are leaving for the coast

And although my eyes were open

They might just as well been closed
