지난 12월 13일(수요일)은 아프리카음악 시민강좌 다섯번째 날이었다. 많은 청중들이 왕림한 가운데 저녁 7시 월드뮤직센터 강선대 이사장님이 인사말을 해 주었다. 원래 이번 시민강좌는 4회로 기획되었으나, 많은 분들의 요청에 따라서 다섯번째로 하림가수를 초빙하였다고 하였다. 앞으로 월드뮤직센터의 운영은 여기 참가하는 분들의 의견에 따라서 시행될 것이라고 하였다. 연주는 서소문 배재공원 서쪽 월드문화센터 오픈코리아 빌딩 2층에서 하였다.

 

소개를 받은 한성대 월드뮤직강사 하림은 아프리카를 여행하고, 거기 대해서 작곡한 노래 15곡 정도를 여행담 끝에 마다 불러주었다. 많은 청중이 박수로 호응하였다.  그는 요새 젊은이들에게 인기가 좋다고 한다.

그동안 아프리카음악에 관하여 시민강좌에서 들은 내용을 보면 다음과 같다. 아프리카 서북지방 등은 고대에 교역로에 위치하여 세계 금 교역량에서 큰 비중을 차지하고 부유한 국가들도 있었다. 그러나 근대에 이르러서 포르투갈을 비롯한 열강의 침략을 받아서 정치적으로 쇠퇴하고, 아메리카 등에 노예로 팔리는 처지가 되었다.

 

그러나 음악에 있어서는 다른 대륙과 달리 복합적인 poly리듬을 지닌 특성이 있었다. 단적으로 말하면, 2박자 안에도 3리듬 이상이 함께 들어있는 상태였다. 아프리카인들이 아메리카 등지로 퍼짐에 따라서 그들의 독특한 음악은 다른 대륙에 큰 변화를 가져왔다. poly리듬은 탱고, 삼바, 차차차 같은 음악과 춤을 창조하였다. 아프리카인들은 근대이후 정치적으로 구미 열강 등에 침탈을 받았으나, 음악문화에 있어서는 오히려 다른 대륙에 지배적인 영향을 주게 되었다.

 

그리고 스마트폰으로 녹화하였으니 음악효과가 적은 면은 양해를 바란다.

녹화한 피일이 여행담이 길어서 노래와 더하면 카페에서 제한하는 분량인 500MB를 넘고 있다. 우선 짧은 노래만 여기에 게재하였다.

* 아직 하림의 노래 판은 나오지 못하였다고 한다.

Wednesday, December 13 was the fifth day of African music lectures for citizen. With a large audience at hand, Kang Sun-dae, director of World Music Center, greeted us at 7 p.m. Originally, the class was planned to be held four times, but many people requested that the school invite Harim Singer for the fifth time. The World Music Center will be operated according to the opinions of its participants in the future. The performance was performed on the second floor of the World Culture Center Open Korea Building, west of the Seosomun Paejae Park.

 

Introduced by Hansung University's World Music instructor, Harim, after the talk, he traveled to Africa and sang about 15 songs that he wrote about them each day. The audience responded with applause.

What I have heard so far about African music in the lectures for citizens is as follows.

  North-West Africa and other regions were located on trade routes in ancient times, making up a large share of the world's gold trade and also led by wealthy countries. However, in modern times, it has become politically decaying due to the invasion by Portugal and other great powers, and being sold as a slave to the American Continent and others.

 

However, in terms of music, unlike other continents, it had a characteristic of having a complicated poly rhythm. In short, it had more than three beats in 2 time. As Africans spread to the American Continent and elsewhere, their unique music has made a huge change in other continents. Poly rhythms created music and dances such as the tango, samba, and cha-cha-cha.  African people have been invaded by the Western Powers since the modern times, but had a dominant influence on other continents in music culture.

 

And I recorded it with my smartphone, so please forgive me for having less effect on music.

The recorded story and sing of the File is long, so it is more than 500MB, which is limited by the cafe.  First, only short songs were posted here.
